Note
-
T. Dorandi a fondé son édition sur les plus anciens manuscripts continus (B, P and F), sur les 'excepta Vaticana' (Φ), ainsi que sur les autres extraits byzantins 'Suda', Pal and Vi. Le texte est accompagné par trois types d'apparat critique, voir p. 53-54 : " the first mainly records references to modern collections of the fragments of authors cited in the Lives. In the second apparatus, the witnesses of the secondary tradition are listed [...]. The third apparatus is reserved for the MS readings and for conjectures. It is an apparatus accompanied by short explanatory phrases and sporadic bibliographical references". Texte grec annoté (p. 59-824) avec longue introduction (p. 1-57) contenant : I Manuscripts (p. 1-7), II Testimonia (p. 7-10), III Editions of the "Lives" from the "Frobeniana" to Marcovich (p. 11-17), History of the text (p. 17-43), V Stemma (p. 44), VI Principles and arrangement of this edition (p. 45-57). — Subsidium interpretationis (p. 825-872). — — Appendices (p. 873-880) : I Metres of Diogenes Laertius'poems (with the exception of elegiac distichs) (p. 873-875), II Some addenda to "Laertiana" (p. 876-878), III Additamentum (p. 879-880). — Abbreviations and bibliography (p. 881-894). — Index nominum (p. 895-943).
